Welcome to the Lacrosse 2023 Season! We are all looking forward to seeing you again! In Oregon, lacrosse is not an official sport of the Oregon School Activities Association (OSAA). Instead, lacrosse teams are run as non-profit clubs, reliant on fees and fundraising. Fees and fundraising this year will help cover costs such as coaches’ stipends, OHSLA dues, insurance, field use fees, transportation, equipment, maintenance, and medical supplies.
Practices are Monday through Friday from 7:30 to 9:30pm at the Sprague field.
The true cost for each player is over $700. We make up the difference by doing a variety of fundraisers. Players are expected to fully participate in the fundraisers.
2 uniforms (home and away), Helmet and Jacket – these belong to the club and must be returned at the end of the season.
$100 deposit check required for uniforms and jacket.
$200 deposit check required for uniforms, jacket and helmet.
Deposit checks will be shredded when equipment is returned at the end of the season.
Shoulder pads, elbow pads, gloves, athletic shoes (cleats), stick, mouth guards, athletic cup, and any other personal protective equipment.
Shoulder pads must meet NOCSAE standard ND200.
Sprague Lacrosse understands that cost of participation can be a burden for some and we do offer payment plans, scholarships and equipment assistance as needed. Please contact Amy Kaizerman for more information at 650-868-7751 or spraguelax@gmail.com.

In addition, any volunteer must email a picture of their Covid vaccination card to Kaitlynn Butler butler_kaitlynn@salkeiz.k12.or.us or Clinton Gertenrich gertenrich_clinton@salkeiz.12.or.us. The school district athletics office maintains a list of volunteers with verified vaccination status. According to the district, no exceptions are allowed for medical or religious reasons unless you are a school district employee with an approved exception. Fully vaccinated is defined as 14 days after your final dose.
